چکیده
Since the release of movie Finding Nemo, clownfish have been known and loved by many people. Clownfish a very vivid skin color extreme ornamental value. However, there are few species clownfish, which greatly limits breeding new varieties. In this study, Atmosphere room temperature plasma (ARTP) method was used to treat clownfish-fertilized eggs successfully screened out mutants that exhibited change from black red in their offspring. To elucidate molecular mechanism underlying mutation, more than 17,000 methylated peaks were obtained via m6A-specific RNA immunoprecipitation with next-generation sequencing (MeRIP-seq). These modification sites mainly distributed around stop codons, number corresponding genes exceeded 10,000. Further (RNA-seq) before after mutation performed identified 883 significant differences between two samples, among 152 interaction showed m6A level gene expression level. The results functional analysis phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K)-serine/threoninekinase (Akt) pathway its related signal pathways may play an important role change. particular, such as mitogen activated protein kinase 1 ( MAP2K1) , insulin―like growth factor―l IGF1 ), fibroblast factor FGF1 ) key roles accumulation melanin homeobox-protein-encoding empty spiracles homeobox 2 EMX2 mesenchyme MEOX2 be for determining regions pigment. Infiltrative tubular carcinoma in a common clownfish, Amphiprion ocellaris
Article history: Received: 18 February 2016 Accepted: 27 September 2016 Published online: 3 November 2016 Abstract Neoplasia affecting a variety of tissues has been documented in many fish species. However, there are few reports of neoplasia in the common clownfish, Amphiprion ocellaris. An adult female clownfish in a public display aquarium was diagnosed with a locally invasive tubular carcino...
متن کاملTrophic transfer of essential elements in the clownfish Amphiprion ocellaris in the context of ocean acidification
Little information exists on the effects of ocean acidification (OA) on the digestive and post-digestive processes in marine fish. Here, we investigated OA impacts (Δ pH = 0.5) on the trophic transfer of select trace elements in the clownfish Amphiprion ocellaris using radiotracer techniques. Assimilation efficiencies of three essential elements (Co, Mn and Zn) as well as their other short-term...
متن کاملFinding Nemo: hybrid assembly with Oxford Nanopore and Illumina reads greatly improves the clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) genome assembly
Background Some of the most widely recognized coral reef fishes are clownfish or anemonefish, members of the family Pomacentridae (subfamily: Amphiprioninae). They are popular aquarium species due to their bright colours, adaptability to captivity, and fascinating behavior. Their breeding biology (sequential hermaphrodites) and symbiotic mutualism with sea anemones have attracted much scientifi...
متن کاملGene encoding prolactin in cinnamon clownfish Amphiprion melanopus and its expression upon acclimation to low salinities
UNLABELLED BACKGROUND Prolactin (PRL) is a key hormone for osmoregulation in fish. Levels of PRL in the pituitary gland and plasma ion composition of clownfish seem to change to regulate their hydromineral balance during adaptation to waters of different salinities. In order to understand osmoregulatory mechanism and its association with growth performance and PRL in fish, the gene encoding ...
